Job Description:

A Director of Worship (or Pastor of Worship) is sought by First Methodist Church in beautiful Geneseo, Illinois. Our large, growing, Global Methodist congregation offers four weekend services engaging all generations. We seek a full-time, Spirit-filled leader to shepherd music and worship ministries to equip our mission of drawing, developing, and deploying people for Jesus. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience, gifts, and education.

We are a praying, Gospel-focused congregation in touch with the Holy Spirit. Two of our services are traditional and two contemporary. We are open to applicants who might have gifts in contemporary worship (only) and leading media/tech ministries. If we find the right person with these gifts, we might consider a part-time person to lead traditional music.

Geneseo is adjacent to the Illinois/Iowa Quad Cities. Our church has an in-person worship attendance over 450 and our school district was recently named among the top in the nation. Our Directing Pastor is Dr. Chris Ritter.
