2026 Summer Internship Program
Role Description & Pay
World Wide Technology Raceway is looking for highly motivated interns that are prepared to work in a fast-paced motorsports environment. Interns will assist the Ticketing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Facility Managers on daily ticket operations, sales, hospitality, signage, accounting, event production and activation. This internship will teach the importance of strategic planning, organization, coordination, and communication skills within many areas. Pay Range: ($15-17/hour).
This may be a full-time or part-time role depending on requirements for college credit and the student’s availability. Major event weeks and weekends may require full-time availability. This position can be a combination of course credit and/or hourly pay. Internships will begin in May 2026 and run through August 2026 with an opportunity to continue through the end of the event season.
Education and Experience
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in sport management, business, advertising, communications, marketing, hospitality management, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Must have excellent customer service skills to engage with fans at a variety of events.
- Overall, positive attitude and desire to learn as much as possible during the internship.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high energy environment.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and relationship management skills with the ability to work efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to respond to situations in a quick, calm, and professional manner.
- Strong work ethics with time management skills and personal accountability.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize when given clearly defined tasks and projects.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- All interns are expected to be available to work nights and weekends as scheduled
- Passion for motorsports is not required but is a plus.
Company Description
World Wide Technology Raceway is a motorsports facility in Greater St. Louis that hosts INDYCAR, NASCAR, and NHRA racing. It is located just a few minutes from downtown St. Louis and features a 1/4-mile drag strip, a 2.0-mile road course, a 1.25-mile oval track, a state-of-the-art karting facility, and a 14-acre dirt off-road event venue.
