General Description
The Director of Elementary is responsible to lead our ministry to children from 1st through 5th grade.
The director will develop the vision and deliver ministry programming that is aligned with Chapelstreet
Church’s vision to help our children and families experience grace, grow in faith, and make an impact.
While the Director will focus on providing vision and content for Chapelstreet families (birth – 5th
grade) at the Keslinger campus, they will also serve the broader church family by supporting all-church
programming.
Director of Elementary Responsibilities
As the leader of Elementary Ministries, the director will serve our children and families by designing
and executing effective Sunday morning and midweek programming. Duties also include serving as
ministry champion, leading within a ministry staff team, recruiting and training volunteers, teaching
from God’s Word, managing budget, outreach to parents, and helping oversee special programming
such as Christmas, Easter, and summer Vacation Bible School.
Abilities & Attributes
Requirements:
● Passion to see children and young people come to know Jesus and grow to be like Jesus.
● 3-5 years of experience leading local church kids and/or adult ministry (preferred but not
mandatory)
● Bible College degree (preferred but not mandatory)

Abiding personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture
for a leader in the church.
Strong leader, strategic thinker, and planner, able to cast vision and lead change in a complex
multisite ministry environment.
Skilled communicator, good listener, able to teach and share God’s Word with individuals and
groups in both onsite and online contexts.
Inspirational leader, able to energize and motivate others.
Flexible and open-minded to new and innovative ideas
